REPORTING TO:&nbsp; Senior Quantity SurveyorDUTIES<ol><li>Responsible for projects from inception to&nbsp;completion</li><li>Be the focal point of contact for the client and inspire confidence for with&nbsp;clients.</li><li>Progression to Senior QS&nbsp;level.</li><li>Estimating and cost&nbsp;planning</li><li>Procurement&nbsp;advice</li><li>Tender documentation&nbsp;completion</li><li>Contract administration and cost&nbsp;control</li><li>Costreporting</li><li>Final account&nbsp;preparation</li><li>Attend meetings and undertake site&nbsp;visits</li><li>Hold a professional membership with&nbsp;RICS.</li><li>Client facing and confident in leading&nbsp;meetings.</li><li>Managing and take lead on multiple projects for their&nbsp;clients</li><li>Manage infrastructure projects ideally using the NEC form of&nbsp;contract.</li></ol>&nbsp;AUTHORITY<ol><li style="text-align:justify;">The Intermediate QS will be expected to be a self-starter in relation to day-to-day tasks, however there is no authority to agree or otherwise progress any compensation events or other commercially driven decisions without the approval and support of their line manager/direct line&nbsp;report.</li></ol>&nbsp;DELEGATE<ol><li style="text-align:justify;">It is envisaged that those engaged as Intermediate QS will be expected to delegate elements of their role, however, to ensure a supportive and collaborative working environment the necessary support will be given if at any point the candidate is given larger volumes of work beyond what is reasonable (either by the Client or wider&nbsp;team).</li></ol>&nbsp;LIASE&nbsp;WITH<ol><li style="text-align:justify;">It is expected that the candidate will liaise with Clients and Contractors on a daily basis to ensure the timely communication and collation of&nbsp;information.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Where appropriate, the need may arise to interface with third party stakeholders; in which case it should be remembered that the Candidate is an ambassador for the Aqua brand and shall be professional in all&nbsp;conduct.</li><li>Regular contact with all internal staff is expected with a focus on open&nbsp;communication.</li><li>Responsible for assisting with the management of junior members of the&nbsp;team.</li></ol>

The role will be based in Aqua Consultants’ Offices, supporting quantity surveyors in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects. 

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

The role will be dealing directly with both internal and external clients across water, wastewater, bio resources and occasionally industrial sectors.The candidate will be:<ul><li>Degree qualified and a Chartered Engineer, you will have the right blend of people skills, personal qualities and technical expertise to bring our solutions and projects to life. You will be positive and enthusiastic, a confident communicator at all levels, and a team player.</li><li>Experienced in water and wastewater treatment.</li><li>Flexibility to work at other locations in the UK.</li><li>You will encourage and motivate those around you to work to your own high standards of quality and compliance. Technical Director 

Level: Graduate Member ICE Years of experience: 1+ Chartered: UnderwayREPORTING TO:&nbsp; TECHNICAL DIRECTORRESPONSIBILITIES Supporting senior members of the team in the delivery of key frameworks and projects. Liaison with clients, contractors and third-party stakeholders on a daily basis ensuring the most effective solutions and recommendations are provided to the Client.DUTIES<ul><li>The design and documentation of civil and structural components of the projects, including but not limited to, utility networks, buildings, civil infrastructure and water treatment structures.</li><li>Provide design and construction documentation as required by the project, including conducting site surveys and inspections.</li><li>Carryout client liaison and coordination, including reporting of progress</li><li>Project management of the tasks and deliverables required as part of the design packages.</li><li>Conduct technical inspections of structures, formations and other civil / structural elements as required.</li><li>Assist project managers and site staff in evaluating 3rd party designs and construction methods.</li><li>Development and promotion of environmental best practice</li><li>Attendance at stakeholder meetings &amp; site visits</li><li>Attend design Workshops</li><li>Desire and ability to work independently when needed</li></ul>SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Accredited degree in Civil Engineering</li><li>Good project management skills including organisational and diligent skills.</li><li>Good communication, report writing and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Experience in design of civil, structural or geotechnical elements to Eurocodes and best practice would be beneficial.</li><li>Practical site experience at construction or geotechnical investigation stage would be beneficial.</li><li>Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and other specialist computer packages (AutoCAD, Workspace, CRM’s, etc).</li><li>Full UK driving licence as extensive travel throughout the UK will be required.</li><li>Full UK permit for work or residency.</li><li>Further education or second degree in a construction / engineering related discipline would be beneficial</li><li>Membership of ICE would be beneficial</li></ul>AUTHORITYAs a graduate there is an expectation that the candidate will be a self-starter and identify opportunities to grow the business (with support of the management).
